2008 - 2009 American
Express – Financial Corporate Account Manager

Amsterdam, Holland (1 year and a half contract)

My tasks and responsibilities were to manage
multi-million dollar portfolios of strategic, cross-industry clients and
merchant relationships. To elevate, deepen and broaden all account
relationships, and maintain a thorough understanding of all the client’s needs.
Increase American Express relevance by consistently communicating &
reinforcing the value story. Overseeing and resolving any other sensitive
account issues. My job consisted also of account management tasks like accounts
payable/receivable, customer
invoicing, the input of data in the accounting system, keeping the customer
account database updated, direct contact with credit insurance companies to
check and control the credit limit and validity, direct contact with customers,
and also eliminating any bad debts write-offs, credit collections, payment
reports and general financial tasks concerning my accounts. In July of this year American express decided
to move this department back to the Brighton UK headquarters due to the
economic crisis. I was offered a place on this team, however having just had a
son, and bought a house this was not possible.

2007 Hewlett
Packard - EMT Logistic Co-ordinator

Amstelveen, Holland (1 year contract)

I was responsible for logistics for the B2B printers division, this
entailed tracking

of all
parts and shipments, monitoring demand and supply of parts, forecasting

the expected needs of the part departments. I
was also required to make

forecasts for the amount and type of engineers
we needed to be available,

deploying engineers with the correct parts and
information. It also

included monitoring and setting SLA targets to
be met. Due to the nature

of these
business contracts, SLA’s had to be high, efficient and achieved

at all
times. I reported to the department manager to about service levels

and ongoing issues. Working in this job I had
to be able to work independently

and be pro-active, relying on own judgement
based on extensive training in

logistics. Sadly this department was
out-sourced to India due to cost effectiveness.

After experiencing several different types of
backgrounds and companies, I now find it very important to be part of a company
which I feel able to properly represent and to fully immerse myself in. I would
like to work in a company where I can build a career and to which I would be
able to add to and solidify. As a very proactive person I work well by myself,
but also in group and team surroundings. I am always willing to step in and
help or to pick up work where needed to help my colleagues but also keep the
level of work at the level it should be. In work I always strive to complete my
work to the best standard, and would like this throughout the team. I have had
the benefit from previous companies and my social background to have become
very comfortable in a multi-cultural/lingual environment. I enjoy the diversity
and mix of skills, it adds to a company and to my own environment.

I learn very quickly and am always eager to
follow new courses or training which will broaden my knowledge and skill base,
or which will allow me to better use skills I already have. Ideally, the
company I would best like to work for would allow me enough room to be able to
try to implement appropriate ideas and skills, with a diverse team environment
where I would be encouraged to learn to better be able to work for the company
and to improve my own knowledge.
